Meet Our Leaders

Tolani and Kate Abiodun faithfully serve as Evangelist and Women’s Ministry Leader of the mighty Nairobi International Christian Church.

Tolani was baptized as a disciple of Jesus Christ into the campus ministry of the London church on March 15th, 2015, while studying at the prestigious University College London. Upon completion of his studies, he returned to Lagos where he worked as an IT Engineer while supporting the planting of the Lagos International Christian Church. Kate Abiodun was baptized September 21st, 2014, into the Singles Professional ministry of the mighty San Francisco church. She served in San Francisco before being a part of the mission team “that was” sent out the church in Lagos in 2016 where she would meet and eventually “got” married to the love of her life in 2019.

Tolani and Kate are well educated and had successful secular careers in the technology industry before answering God’s call for the full time ministry. Tolani has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (B.Eng) from Covenant University, Nigeria and a master’s degree in Internet Engineering (MSc) from University College London. Kate has a bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from the University of Nottingham and a master’s degree in International Business and Trade (LLM) from University of California Law, San Francisco. They both also received the bachelor’s degree in Ministry (BA) from the International College of Christian Ministry.

The Abioduns served the Lagos church as campus ministers before subsequently becoming a part of the mission team sent out to plant the Johannesburg Church. While in South Africa, Johannesburg, the Abioduns had their beautiful daughter, Kayla, in 2022. That same year, they were appointed Evangelist and Women’s Ministry Leader respectively at 2022 African Missions Conference held in Lagos, Nigeria. In 2023, they led the team of missionaries to plant the church in Lusaka, in Zambia. God worked powerfully through them to build a solid base of disciples in just 2 months before they were called to move to Nairobi and lead this budding congregation as well as oversee the evangelisation of East Africa.
